This notice describes how the personal data of users visiting www.friendsofnaples.org is processed, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). It applies to this website only and does not extend to other websites that may be reached via links.

1. Data controller

The data controller is Friends of Naples Onlus, with registered office in Via Guglielmo Melisurgo 4 – Naples, Italy, tax code 95260840632.

2. Data processed

• Browsing data: in the course of their normal operation, the hosting provider’s systems acquire certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of the internet (such as IP addresses, access times, pages visited). This data is used solely to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website.
• Contact form: first name, surname, email address, telephone number (optional) and the content of the message, provided voluntarily by the user.
• Newsletter subscription: name and email address.
• Donations and membership fees: online donations and memberships are handled through the dedicated platform friendsofnaples.it or by bank transfer; payment data does not pass through this website and is processed according to the notices of the respective services.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to requests sent through the contact forms (steps taken at the request of the data subject, Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Sending the newsletter to subscribers (consent, Art. 6.1.a GDPR); consent can be withdrawn at any time.
• Producing aggregate statistics on the use of the website through cookies, subject to consent (see the cookie policy).
• Compliance with legal, accounting and tax obligations connected with donations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

4. Processing methods and retention

Messages sent through the website forms are delivered to the association’s mailbox and recorded on the server hosting the website, in order to guarantee their receipt and for security purposes. Data is processed by authorised persons using electronic tools and protected by appropriate security measures.

Contact form data is kept for the time needed to handle the request and to comply with any legal obligations. Newsletter subscribers’ data is kept until consent is withdrawn.

5. Recipients of the data

Data may be processed by technical service providers acting on behalf of the controller, including the hosting provider (Netsons S.r.l.), Google Ireland Ltd (statistics – Google Analytics) and CookieYes Ltd (cookie consent management). Data is not disclosed to the public nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (in particular Google and CookieYes) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers take place on the basis of the safeguards provided for by Articles 44 et seq. GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

7. Rights of the data subject

Pursuant to Articles 15–22 GDPR, data subjects may at any time exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and withdraw any consent given, by writing to info@friendsofnaples.org. Complaints may also be lodged with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
