The State Archives of Naples, housed in the ancient Benedictine complex of Santi Severino e Sossio, holds over seventy linear kilometres of documents and is one of the most important archival centres in Europe.
Friends of Naples has intervened here on two distinct occasions: the restoration of the monumental entrance doorway and, more recently, the recovery of the frescoes of the Rediscovered Chapel, a tiny chapel that re-emerged in 2023 behind a door walled up for two centuries.
